News: Land Rover Sales Up Sixty-two Percent

Tata Motor Company reported today that Jaguar / Land Rover global sales in February 2010 were 17,197 vehicles, higher by 60% (month over month). Land Rover sales were 13,905, higher by 62% (month over month).  However, cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal year (at 170,444) were lower by 16%. Cumulative sales of Land Rover were lower by 11%.

While cumulative sales are still down for the fiscal year (April - February), the strong increase in February is considered an encouraging sign by analysts that the global car market might finally be recovering.  February also marks the 6th month in a row that Land Rover has reported improved sales.
