Gary Schroeder provides this quick how to article with pictures and wiring diagrams on connecting a 1997 Land Rover Discovery towing setup / wiring harness to a U-Haul standard wiring harness.

This is how I connected a U-Haul wiring harness (part# 13486, ~$17) on my '97 Discovery.
Here you can see where the LR harness is located behind the right rear panel. The conversion box (bottom right) is zip-tied onto another harness to prevent it rattling about. I usually leave the business-end of the U-Haul harness lying in the bin for easy access, though it could also be tucked behind the access panel.
