How-To: Deciding Whether to Go New or Used in ABS Brake Pump, Switch, and Accumulator Repair for Land Rover Range Rovers

When you have problems with the ABS brake system on your Land Rover Range Rover P38 (1995-2002), or Range Rover Classic (up to 1995), it usually involves one of four components:  the brake pump, the switch for the brake pump, the accumulator, or the relay.

At Falconworks.net, they have provided a good article that they sell on diagnosing Range Rover P38 ABS brake problems

In addition though they provide a nice FREE article summarizing the economic decisions involved in buying these replacement parts new versus buying used, versus having them repaired or refurbished.  Check it out here:  1995 to 2002 Replacement ABS brake pump information for Range Rover P38s.  They have a similar article for Classic (to 1995) Range Rovers here: up to 1995 Replacement brake pump information.
