Tata Motor Company reported today that Jaguar / Land Rover global sales in February 2010 were 17,197 vehicles, higher by 60% (month over month). Land Rover sales were 13,905, higher by 62% (month over month).  However, cumulative sales of Jaguar Land Rover for the fiscal year (at 170,444) were lower by 16%. Now that Jaguar and Land Rover are both owned by Tata Motors, there are plans to share platforms between the two, using just 2 instead of 6 platforms to build the entire lineup of models for both brands.  This means future Land Rovers will share a lot of structural underpinnings with Jaguar sports cars.  Read more »
